‘NFF Should Go Now’
Former Green Eagles player, Adokie Amasiemeka and ex-chairman of the Nigeria Premier League, Oyuiki Obaseki, have advised the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, led by Alhaji Aminu Maigari to vacate office and respect the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja that ruled on Friday that the body is illegal.
Adokie said he was not surprised about the judgment of the high court, saying that the way the NFF is being run does not conform with FIFA’s statutes and the Nigerian law.
“The court has given its ruling that NFF and the board of Nigeria Premier League are illegal, so I expect the so-called elected board members led by Maigari to respect the law of the land,” he said on Brila FM early today.
Obaseki hailed the judgment of the High Court, saying that there are a lot of things going wrong in Nigerian football.
He advised Maigari and his executives to vacate office.
P.M.Sports, however, gathered that the NFF is planning to appeal the judgment.
