Badru emerges APC House of Reps candidate for Lagos Island Constituency I

Hon. Dr. Dolapo Badru has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Lagos Island Federal Constituency I following the party’s House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday.

Badru, a three-term lawmaker, secured the party’s ticket after the primary conducted in line with the provisions of the APC constitution and the Electoral Act.

The exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

His emergence was confirmed in the official list of successful candidates sighted by PM News.

Badru is widely regarded within the constituency for his legislative experience, constituency projects and commitment to human capital development through empowerment and social intervention programmes.

In his acceptance message, the APC candidate expressed gratitude to party leaders, delegates and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to delivering effective representation and fulfilling his electoral promises to the people of Lagos Island Federal Constituency I.

Badru pledged to continue championing programmes and policies aimed at improving the welfare and socio-economic development of constituents if elected in the 2027 general elections.
