BREAKING: Singer Niniola loses husband

Nigerian singer Niniola has announced the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, also known as Big Mike, in an emotional post on her Instagram Stories.

Michael Ndika, before his passing, was the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview, a multimedia platform focused on Afro-house and contemporary African music.

In her post, Niniola wrote:

“God took him, my husband died… God took my husband.”

“God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years.”

The circumstances surrounding Michael Ndika’s death have not been immediately disclosed. Niniola has always kept her private life largely away from the public and social media.

Niniola, 39, rose to prominence after finishing as a top contestant on Project Fame West Africa in 2013 and has since become one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music exports.
