Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has spoken against publicising private messages after the death of an individual. The actress, while speaking on the BTC Podcast, criticised the habit of sharing unreplied direct messages and emotional tributes only after a person passes away.
Etinosa explained that some of the messages are usually from colleagues who ignore others while they were alive. She added that some movie producers and colleagues ignore requests to work together while someone is alive, only to later post emotional tributes after their death.
”All those people that post people’s DM when they are dead, if you post my DM, I’ll wake up, slap you and go back to the grave. Don’t try it. DM that you didn’t reply, my enemy will die now. If you try it and post that ‘Oh, we should have worked together, I was looking forward to working with you,’ what I will do to you in your dream, you wouldn’t believe it,” she stated.
Etinosa’s statement comes shortly after the death of popular Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, which trended online as celebrities and friends shared their last moments and conversations with him.
