KolaDaisi University secures full NUC accreditation for Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, others

KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, has recorded another major academic milestone as the National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation status to all academic programmes presented by the institution during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.

The approval, conveyed in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olatunbosun, SAN, covered key programmes in the Allied Health Sciences and Basic Medical Sciences.

The fully accredited programmes are Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.

The NUC, in the letter signed by Engineer Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Executive Secretary, stated that the accreditation exercise was conducted in line with the provisions of Section 10(1) of the Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act.

The Commission noted that the programmes earned “Full Accreditation” status, which remains valid for five years.

The latest development is widely regarded as a significant endorsement of the university’s academic quality, infrastructure, manpower, and commitment to excellence in professional and medical education.

Speaking on the achievement, the Registrar of the university, Mr Haruna Olawale Adetu, described the accreditation success as a reflection of the institution’s unwavering commitment to global best practices and quality assurance.

According to him, “The full accreditation granted to all the programmes presented by the university is a strong affirmation of the high academic standards, quality faculty, modern facilities, and robust governance structure put in place by the management under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olatunbosun, SAN.”

He added that the university remained committed to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with the knowledge, competence, and character required to excel in their various professions.

Adetu further stated that the achievement would strengthen public confidence in the university’s capacity to deliver quality education, especially in health-related disciplines that are critical to national development.

Findings revealed that the accreditation teams assessed critical areas including curriculum content, staffing, physical facilities, laboratories, library resources, governance structure, and student support services before granting approval.

KolaDaisi university, established to provide world-class education in a conducive learning environment, has continued to expand its academic frontiers while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards set by the National Universities Commission.
