Quick Read

Umahi said the Tinubu administration has strengthened inclusion of the South-East through key appointments and development projects.

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, says President Bola Tinubu is working hard to solve Nigeria’s security problems and may fully address them within the next five years if re-elected.

Umahi said this on Saturday during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held at Umunaga Ward in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

He said about 5,009 party members took part in the voting exercise and all supported President Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election. According to him, this shows that people trust and support the president.

Umahi described Ebonyi State as a strong supporter of the APC, saying residents have fully aligned with the party and the president.

He also said Tinubu has given the South-East region more attention through political appointments and development projects.

He added that although Tinubu’s economic reforms caused hardship at first, they have now helped to stabilize the economy. He believes the country has passed the worst stage and that people will soon start to feel positive effects.

Umahi also praised ongoing road and infrastructure projects across Nigeria, saying they show that the government is rebuilding the country.
