‘I’m Not Dating Skuki’s Vavavoom’
Rising female pop singer, Goldie Harvey has refuted the reports swirling around that she is in a romantic relationship with Vavavoom, a half of the musical duo, Skuki. The sultry singer said the love affair and the purported marriage plans is a tale scripted by some jobless people.

Speaking through her publicist, Surprise Package Media, Goldie, who recently dropped her new work, Gold Reloaded, said “the tale remains the figment of the bearer’s imagination as nothing of such has happened or is happening.”
In the last six months, the singer —real name Susan Olabimpe Harvey— was said to have been so buwsy working around the clock, both in the studio and on concert circuits, and does not have time for ‘such pettiness’.
“We can categorically tell you that she’s not in any relationship at the moment; neither did she date any of the Skuki brothers. Goldie is a fun personality, an extrovert and complete entertainer. She relates with her colleagues like her brothers and sisters, you can verify that from her colleagues. She is one person you would always love to be around. For the record, she’s a dedicated personality, who puts her heart in whatever she does, and that is why she’s giving her all to music,” the publicist said in a chat with Showbiz Trends.
Last week, a source told Showbiz Trends that a cold war has broken out between the two brothers, Peeshaun and Vavavoom, over the Kennis Music diva. The gist has it that the boys are currently not on speaking terms, as a result of a spat that ensued on 4 January at the National Stadium, Surulere, where the soccer-crazy, singers had gone to train.
According to the source, Peeshaun had told his brother that he’s not in support of his romance with Goldie, because the relationship was causing a lot of distraction in their music career. It was said that any time they were supposed to go into the studio or for rehearsals, Vavavoom would not show up and whenever he is called to know his whereabouts, he was always with Goldie.
This enraged Vavavoom who told Peeshaun never to intrude in his affairs as he never interfered while he (Peeshaun) was with other girls in the past. But for the presence of their manager at the stadium on that day, the argument would have degenerated into fisticuffs, the source disclosed.
At the moment, it was alleged that the brothers no longer speak with each other because Vavavoom has allegedly informed Goldie of the happenings. This also annoyed the lady, and she was said to have sent a stinker through a text message to Peeshaun for interfering in her love life.
But Goldie’s public relations camp fired back, denying that she sent a text message to any of the guys and challenging anyone with details of the communication to make it public.
Skuki, made up of brothers Tumininu and Atewologun, are presently under the record label of Daphella Entertainment. The duo came to limelight with the release of their debut single, Banger, featuring Zeez. They followed it with Stamina after winning the ‘Next Rated Category of the Hip Hop World Awards in 2010. Since then, the boys were off the scene until late last year when they announced their re-emergence with a new single, Halleluyah
