President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday joined Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks in Lagos to observe Eid prayers.

Tinubu was accompanied by top government officials and political leaders, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and Lagos Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat.

The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared photos from the prayer ground in a post on X.

He said Tinubu observed the Eid prayers alongside Fashola, Hamzat and other Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks.

In Abuja, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also joined Muslims at the AYA Mosque to observe the Eid prayers.

Atiku, in a post on his social media page, said the prayers were offered in gratitude to Allah for His blessings.

He also used the occasion to call for unity, compassion, sacrifice and peace among Nigerians.

According to him, the spirit of Eid should strengthen the bond of Nigerians as one people and one nation.

Atiku extended Eid greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world, praying for lasting peace and prosperity in the country.

“Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and around the world,” he wrote.

“May Allah accept our prayers and grant lasting peace and prosperity to our nation.”
