Two persons were rescued by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) following a multi-vehicle accident along the Motorway inward Toll Gate corridor at Ogudu-Alapere on Sunday.
The accident involved a 12-tyre DAF articulated truck and a Volkswagen T4 commercial bus, according to emergency responders.
Eyewitnesses said the commercial bus overturned during the collision, leaving its driver and a passenger trapped inside the mangled vehicle.

The injured occupants were handed over to personnel of the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), who provided emergency medical attention before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Authorities said efforts were also made to clear the affected vehicles from the roadway to ease traffic congestion caused by the crash.
LASTMA urged motorists to exercise caution while driving, particularly on busy highways, and to adhere strictly to traffic regulations to reduce the risk of accidents.
The agency added that investigations were ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
