Media personality and Nollywood actor Tobi Bakre, has spoken against gender discrimination in the entertainment industry, stating that women have a lot to offer in the industry.
While speaking on the Mentality podcast With Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Tobi explained that he sees people who decline collaborations with women as unserious.
The actor opened up on his work experiences with women, saying they have played a key role in his growth within the entertainment industry.
“If you don’t want to work with a woman, I don’t believe you’re ready to grow in life. Women are so powerful. Thank God for women. In my industry particularly, I have worked with women and I’ve worked more with women. I don’t see gender. For me, work is work because I came into the industry with the thirst to get stuff done. Let’s get the work done. Let’s shoot the shots. Let’s create. If I want to jump, how high can I jump?. A lot of the women I worked with welcomed that mentality with open arms. There was no ego,” he stated.
