Police foil kidnap plots, recover hundreds of cattle in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has recovered 245 rustled cattle and prevented several attempted kidnappings during a series of security operations across the state.

Police said the achievements followed intelligence-led patrols and coordinated actions by operatives deployed to areas identified as crime hotspots.

According to the command, the recovered cattle were believed to have been stolen by criminal gangs operating within and around affected communities. The animals have since been secured as efforts continue to identify and return them to their rightful owners.

The operations also led to the disruption of planned abductions, with security personnel responding swiftly to reports of suspicious movements and criminal activity.

The command said the successes underscore ongoing efforts to tackle cattle rustling, kidnapping and other forms of banditry that have posed security challenges in parts of the state.

Police authorities commended officers involved in the operations and assured residents that measures were being strengthened to protect lives and property.
