NFF Crisis Killing Nigerian Football —Babangida

Former Super Eagles’ winger, Tijani Babangida, has said that the present impasse rocking the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF is killing the game.

The former Ajax Amsterdam of Holland player noted that there is urgent need for the warring parties to sheathe their swords and embrace peace for football to develop in the country.

Babangida, who was part of Atlanta ’96 Olympic winning team, is of the view that a divided house like that of the NFF will not augur well for the development of football in Nigeria.

The former VVV-Venlo of Holland advised that if two elephants fight it is the grasses that bear the brunt, saying “it is the players in the local league that will suffer. No scouts will come for them. I will only implore the warring factions to bury their hatchet for the good of the game.”
