Nigerian Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo has urged women not to be financially dependent on their husbands, stressing the importance of investment and income generation.

While speaking during a church programme, the Bishop stated that, humility, gratitude and a willingness to accept correction are essential qualities for women seeking greatness in life.

She also noted that women were created for more than childbearing, urging them to strive to make meaningful contributions to society.

“Like yourself and invest in yourself. If the totality of your spending is based on your husband, you are a waste. Don’t let your life be based on sexually Transmitted Money (STM). Love the Lord, serve the Lord and be passionate about God. You can’t be sleeping around with men to have money. Keep your dignity and don’t let anybody mess you up, but firmly believe in yourself,” she stated.
