Oyebanji will retain Ekiti governorship seat – Prophet Ajilore

The founder of Christ Artillery Crusaders (CAC Atamatase), Prophet Ajilore Atamatase, JP, has predicted that Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji will secure a second term in Saturday’s governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The cleric made the prediction on Wednesday during a ministerial programme held at Atamatase Area, Oluwo, off Egbeda Toll Gate, Ibadan, Oyo State, where he also urged the governor to remain committed to delivering on his campaign promises if re-elected.

According to Prophet Ajilore, a second term would provide Governor Oyebanji with an opportunity to consolidate on his administration’s developmental efforts and fulfil what he described as God’s purpose for the people of Ekiti State.

“God still wants you to continue this great assignment, and I encourage you to remain steadfast in Him. Continue to pray and stay focused. The race may appear challenging, but God says He is in charge and wants you to remain at the helm of leadership in Ekiti State,” the cleric said.

Prophet Ajilore, who is also a radio evangelist, expressed confidence that Oyebanji would emerge victorious despite what he described as the competitive nature of the election.

He also advised the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to be discouraged by the outcome of the poll, saying every political ambition has its appointed time.

According to him, leadership opportunities come with experience, preparation and divine timing.

The cleric further claimed that, according to his revelation, the election process could witness some challenges. However, he expressed optimism that prayers and divine intervention would ensure a peaceful exercise and that the eventual winner would emerge in accordance with God’s will.

He appealed to residents of Ekiti State to remain peaceful before, during and after the election, urging them to shun violence and conduct themselves responsibly throughout the electoral process.

Prophet Ajilore also called on political actors and their supporters to place the interest of the state above partisan considerations and respect the outcome of a peaceful and credible election.

The cleric has previously made public predictions on national political developments. He was among the religious leaders who publicly predicted the emergence of President Bola Tinubu before the 2023 presidential election, while also calling on Nigerians to continually pray for the country’s peace, stability and progress.
