Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, wife of Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has explained why she kept their marriage away from the public eye.
Tokunbo made the disclosure in an Instagram post while sharing photos chronicling her journey with the actor over the years.
The fashion entrepreneur and CEO of House of Luminee said she values privacy and believes it has helped preserve her peace despite the challenges she has faced.
Sharing the photos, she wrote: “Before and After. Aanu Ni!
“Oju ri! But Anu speaks.
“This right time to fly together. Privacy is peace to me.”
Her comments came days after Baba Ijesha announced the birth of their baby boy.
The actor took to social media on Monday to celebrate the arrival of the child, introducing him as “King Kagar Omiyinka.”
He also showered praises on Tokunbo, describing her as “my ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban.”
Reacting to the announcement, Tokunbo revealed that the newborn is their first child together after 12 years, although she already has a daughter.
The revelation sparked interest among fans, as the couple had largely kept their relationship out of the public spotlight.
Tokunbo hails from Ijesha Isu in Ekiti State. She attended Hosanna Africa Primary School and Methodist Girls High School before obtaining a National Diploma in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic Ibadan.
She later earned a degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University and launched her fashion brand, House of Luminee, in 2013.
