Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has spoken up after her performance at the Obama Presidential Center’s opening ceremony in Chicago.
The artist who sang alongside a variety of international music superstars like Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend and so many others, revealed that she was nervous before the performance.
Tems who wore a vibrant red gown, expressed her appreciation, stating that she felt blessed to perform on that stage with other stars.
”I am so blessed and honoured to be here… this is you, everyone, here, to Mr. and Mrs. Obama, to Sandra, and all the family,” she stated.
She also later disclosed that she became nervous during her appearance, addressing the mistake of misnaming Obama’s daughters while speaking on stage.
“Lord knows I was nervous! Please forgive me!!!,” she added.
