The pregnancy announcement comes after the actress previously opened up about suffering a miscarriage in 2015 while playing a pregnant woman in a stage production.

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has announced that she is pregnant with her third child at the age of 43.

The Devil Wears Prada star shared the news with her millions of Instagram followers on Friday in a sweet baby bump reveal video.

In the clip, Hathaway walked into view wearing a flowing white skirt and cropped top, proudly showing off her growing baby bump.

She captioned the post: “x Baby, I’m yours x.”

Fans immediately flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, with the post reportedly attracting half a million likes within the first 30 minutes.

Hathaway already shares two children with her husband, Adam Shulman.

The couple are parents to two sons, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, who was born in March 2016, and Jack Shulman, born in November 2019.

The pregnancy announcement comes after the actress previously opened up about suffering a miscarriage in 2015 while playing a pregnant woman in a stage production.

In a 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Hathaway revealed that her first pregnancy “didn’t work out.”

She said she was performing in a play at the time and had to act out giving birth on stage every night.

“I was doing a play and I had to give birth on stage every night,” she said.

Hathaway said she tried to carry on during the six-week show, but eventually opened up to close friends who visited her backstage.

“It was too much to keep it in when I was onstage pretending everything was fine,” she said.

The actress added that the experience made her more sensitive to women going through pregnancy struggles.

“It’s really hard to want something so much and to wonder if you’re doing something wrong,” she said.

Hathaway has remained busy professionally, with several major projects lined up this year.

She recently appeared at premieres for The Devil Wears Prada 2, which was released on May 1.

She also starred in Mother Mary, released in April, while The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street and Verity are also expected to hit cinemas later in the year.
