Peller too young for marriage, money not enough – GehGeh

“Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money, allow him’. But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” he wrote.
Social media personality, Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has criticised TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, over his decision to marry his partner, Elizabeth Aminata, popularly called Jarvis.
Peller had on Sunday announced that he had completed the traditional marriage rites for Jarvis after paying her bride price during a family introduction ceremony.
Sharing a video from the event on Instagram, Peller said he was happy to have taken the step with the woman he loves.
“Today, I proudly paid the bride price of the woman I love,” he wrote.
However, reacting in a post on X, GehGeh faulted those defending Peller’s decision on the ground that he has money.
According to him, financial capacity alone should not be used to determine readiness for marriage.
“Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money, allow him’. But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” he wrote.
GehGeh said Peller was still young and needed more time for personal growth before taking such a major decision.
“You still growing as a child why get married now eehn. I tried my possible best to help you but you failed to listen to me. Peller don go marry Jarvis. Upon all my advice this boy still pour spit for my face,” he added.
The influencer also asked those supporting Peller to consider whether they would encourage a younger family member to get married at a similar age.
His comments have triggered mixed reactions on social media.
While some users backed Peller, arguing that he is financially capable of taking care of a family, others agreed with GehGeh that marriage requires more than money.
Peller’s bride price ceremony came weeks after he proposed to Jarvis in Ghana.
