Angela Okorie reacts to backlash over her decision to burn Alexx Ekubo’s funeral outfit

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reacted to the backlash she received over her decision to burn the outfit she wore to Alex Ekubo’s funeral.

The actress, via her Instagram page, had initially disclosed that she burnt the outfit she wore to the ceremony, stating that she was advised by an elder in her home to do so.

Her post however, stirred controversy and mixed reactions with some users calling her out for her action. Angela, once again, spoke on the issue, explaining that her message was interpreted wrongly. She added that she purposely publicised the information but it was not to stir up controversy.

”Oh well my those who knows, knows my message out here is not to stir up what ever cos I know you idi*ts will interpret it wrongly. But is to whom it may concern. Anyways suit your selves. I gave the outfit I wore to the burial to my aunt in owerri to burn it for me, I didn’t even go to Lagos with it. And this information is to whom it may concern some of you talking trash. You had better shut up your mouth and understand the family and loved ones are still grieving be careful what you say out there Ndi iberibe,” she wrote.
