‘Nigerian Music Videos Are Of Age’

Rising music video director, Bright Erebor, has disclosed that his nomination at last year’s edition of Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA) has transformed his career.

In a chat with Showbiz Trends, the boss of Brisoul Entertainment, said though he did not eventually go home with the trophy for the NMVA’s Best Music Video of the Year 2011, it remains a great honour for him that he was nominated.

Erebor, who cut his production teeth under the tutelage of Reggae star turned pastor, Righteousman, said the industry has come a long way and Nigerian videos are now at par with global standards but Nigerian video directors still need to subject themselves to rigorous training in order to get it right.

Erebor is also a music producer and sound engineer. He produced Sony Neji’s Timeless album. He has produced for Felix Duke and Righteousman. He also shot the video of Sony Neji’s single, Bad As You Bad.
