Ondo LG information officer Tayo Olademehin dies in Abuja

Mr Tayo Olademehin, Information Officer, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State died on Friday while participating in Information Officers’ conference in Abuja.
Mr Andrew Ogunsakin, the Chairman of the local government, confirmed Olademehin’s death in a statement made available on Saturday in Okitipupa.
Ogunsakin said that the untimely passing of the information officer was a painful and irreplaceable loss to the council, the media profession and the entire workforce.
He described 54-year-old Olademehin as an active, dedicated and outstanding officer whose commitment to duty, professionalism and loyalty earned him the admiration and respect among colleagues.
“On behalf of the government and people of Okitipupa Local Government, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the entire staff of the council, friends and associates.
“I pray that God grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Ogunsakin said.
The late Olademehin was the Chairman, Association of Local Government Information Officers (ALGIO), Ondo State chapter.
