Age doesn’t matter – BLord warns youths against early marriage
Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLord, has spoken on the topic of marriage, urging young people not to rush into tying the knot.
While speaking during a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, the entrepreneur criticised the growing trend of young people rushing into marriage because of societal expectations and peer pressure, despite lacking financial stability.
He stressed that marriage should not be viewed as an achievement but as a decision that requires adequate emotional and financial readiness.
“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter and what you did to other people’s daughters someone else is going to do the same to your daughter. Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son. So, don’t be in a rush to marry. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage. Because if you rush into marriage, you will rush out. So, take your time. Age doesn’t matter… Don’t marry who you will regret later. Because to reverse marriage is very very hard, most especially when children are involved,” BLord stated.
