Ray Emodi clears air on quitting acting, apologises to fans

Nollywood actor Ray Emodi has spoken on his decision to quit acting, revealing that he felt burnt-out and tired of the film industry.

While speaking in a recent video, Ray explained that his decision was difficult, stating that he never expected to reach a point where he would pause his acting career.

The actor also apologised to his fans for his decision, stressing that acting remains his passion.

“I acted since 2017 till last year ending. That’s about 300 productions… Eight years, no vacations, no rest. I was tired. If you do something too much, you get tired. I needed a break to find the love for acting again. I have high respect for acting… Waking up one day to say I’m not acting again felt like I swindled you guys. I’m sorry for playing with your emotions,” she added.

Ray Emodi had announced his exit from the film industry earlier in the year, citing traumatic experiences on movie sets as he revealed plans to focus on his music career.
