“I’m so weird. Every six months, I still go for an HIV test — even though I haven’t been with anyone in years,” she wrote.

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed that she still undergoes HIV testing every six months despite claiming she has not been sexually active for years.

Bobrisky made the revelation in a post shared on her Instagram story on Monday, saying the routine was part of her personal commitment to prevention and peace of mind.

According to her, she does not like taking chances with her health, even when she believes there is no obvious risk.

“I’m so weird. Every six months, I still go for an HIV test — even though I haven’t been with anyone in years,” she wrote.

“God knows I just don’t like taking chances or relying on medication. Prevention and peace of mind will always win.”

The post has since drawn attention online, with many social media users reacting to her decision to continue regular testing despite her claim of long-term abstinence.

Bobrisky, who has remained one of Nigeria’s most controversial internet personalities, has often kept her romantic life private, although her lifestyle and public statements continue to attract widespread reactions.

Born Idris Okuneye, Bobrisky has frequently made headlines over her gender identity claims, social media controversies and comments about womanhood.

In September 2021, she said she chose to live as a woman because it opened doors for her after years of struggling as a man.

She said women were powerful but many did not understand how to use their influence and opportunities.

“When I was a guy, I didn’t have anything. I was just there hustling. Nobody wants to talk to you or associate with you because you don’t have money,” she said at the time.

“You only get orders to do this or that like you’re a servant. But I feel like I’m not in for that; I want to be a boss of my own, so let me just use what I have to get what I want.”
