Iyabo Ojo defends ex-husband’s role at daughter’s wedding

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up on why she allowed her ex-husband, Ademidun Ojo, play a significant role during the wedding ceremony of their daughter, Priscilla Ojo.

Speaking during a chat with Morayo, the actress explained that she made a conscious decision not to allow their past differences affect their children’s lives.

Iyabo also stressed that he had once vowed to break unhealthy generational patterns for her children, adding that her own family background influenced the decision.

“I don’t know, there’s something called ancestral curses. And we Africans believe in it. Christians also. I believe that if you do not want something to continue, you have to be able to break it. So I made up my mind that whatever situation had happened, because my dad and my mum were also not together, every mistake they had made that I have made, my children will not make it. Her father is not dead. He’s alive. So why can’t he be there? He didn’t wrong her. Me and him fell out. It has nothing to do with her,” she stated.

Iyabo and Ademidun Ojo tied the knot in 1999 but the union hit the rocks in 2001.
