Nollywood actress Cynthia Anijekwu has cried out for help after revealing that she is battling cancer for the second time, with the disease now spreading to her bones.
In an emotional video circulating on social media on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the actress begged Nigerians to come to her aid, saying her condition has become too expensive for her family to handle alone.
According to Anijekwu, she was first diagnosed with cancer in 2023. She said she underwent surgery and chemotherapy at the time, hoping the treatment would stop the disease.
But the cancer later returned.
The actress said recent medical tests showed that the cancer has now spread to her bones, forcing doctors to recommend radiation therapy and another surgery.
She added that her treatment now costs about N600,000 monthly, a burden she says has become overwhelming.
“I need to live. I need to survive. I’m asking Nigerians to please help me. Anyone that can help, please, I need help,” she pleaded.
Anijekwu also revealed that the cancer has affected both breasts and caused swelling in her hands.
“Your one naira, your two naira can add up to something reasonable for me to get the proper treatment for this cancer. I’m begging you, please help me,” she said.
Before her health crisis became public, Cynthia Anijekwu had featured in Nollywood productions, including English and Igbo-language films.
Her latest appeal has sparked sympathy online, with many Nigerians calling for urgent support for the actress as she fights to stay alive.
