Raji Owonikoko’s Oldies On CD

Living Apala music legend, Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed Raji Alabi Owonikoko, popularly known as Raji Owonikoko, has recorded his old albums in compact disc.

Owonikoko, who has just arrived from Texas, United States of America, stated that the cds are being marketed by Ademola Records, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, adding that Iromi To Njo and Message are among the five oldies released so far.

Recounting his experience during his playing tour of USA, he said the trip was satisfactory and an eye opener as his shows recorded an huge turn-out and acceptability.

He disclosed further that there are plans for his band to embark on another playing tour under the aegis of Tomo Promotions in April.

Raji revealed that efforts are being made by stakeholders to resuscitate Apala music genre and restore it to its former enviable and glorious status.
