Real Housewives of Orange County star Jennifer Pedranti has revealed that her son was among a group of young people involved in starting a brush fire in Ladera Ranch, California, as she promised that he would face consequences for his actions.
Pedranti, 49, addressed the incident on Instagram Stories after reports surfaced about her son’s alleged involvement in the fire, which threatened nearby homes earlier this week.
“I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch fire. He and others were involved,” the Bravo personality wrote.
She said she and her former husband, Will Pedranti, were taking the situation seriously and apologized to members of their community.
“This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community,” she said.
The Orange County Fire Authority confirmed that firefighters responded to a vegetation fire on Narrow Canyon Road in Ladera Ranch after receiving multiple emergency calls reporting that the flames were threatening nearby homes.
Officials said a coordinated response involving firefighters on the ground, two helicopters, and two aircraft helped contain the blaze to about seven acres and prevented injuries and property damage.
Pedranti said the incident became a major learning experience for her son and their family.
“This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family,” she said.
The reality TV star added that firefighters and police officers involved in responding to the blaze gave the boys a lesson they would not forget.
Although no arrests were made, Pedranti said her son would still face consequences at home.
“There were no arrests made, but consequences for actions are being put into place,” she explained.
She revealed that part of his punishment would include taking a fire safety course to ensure he understands the seriousness of the situation and avoids making a similar mistake in the future.
Pedranti did not reveal which of her five children was involved. She shares sons Harrison, 22, Dawson, 19, Greyson, 16, and Dominic, 12, as well as daughter Everleigh, 14, with her ex-husband.
The reality star has been a cast member of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County since joining the show’s 17th season in 2023. She is expected to return for the upcoming 20th season, where viewers will follow her personal life, relationship with fiancé Ryan Boyajian, and family journey.
Despite the frightening incident, Pedranti emphasized that she was grateful the fire did not result in injuries or property damage and vowed that her son would learn from the experience.
