When Abraham Oba launched One9ja in 2019, his ambition extended beyond creating another mobile application. He envisioned a digital ecosystem designed specifically for Nigerians—a platform where information, opportunities, businesses, and cultural identity could coexist in one trusted space.

The entrepreneur observed a recurring challenge across the country: millions of Nigerians relied on fragmented platforms for news, networking, and opportunities, often encountering misinformation or limited access to resources. Recognizing this gap, he established One9ja with a clear mission of creating what he describes as “a home app” where Nigerians could celebrate their stories, showcase their talents, and connect with opportunities created for them.

As Chief Executive Officer of One9ja App and Onedelta Nig Ltd, Oba has positioned technology as a catalyst for community development rather than merely a commercial venture. Through the platform, local businesses, entrepreneurs, creatives, and emerging talents receive visibility that may otherwise remain inaccessible within Nigeria’s competitive digital landscape.

Beyond business promotion, One9ja has evolved into a platform that distributes useful information, highlights employment and educational opportunities, and promotes conversations that encourage informed decision-making among Nigerians. The company’s long-term vision extends to strengthening Nigeria’s digital economy by connecting citizens through technology rooted in local identity and culture.

Oba’s influence reaches beyond the technology sector. As founder of the Save the Boy Child Foundation, he has championed initiatives addressing challenges facing vulnerable young boys. The foundation provides educational support, vocational training, mentorship, and mental health awareness programs aimed at equipping disadvantaged boys with practical skills and renewed hope.

His entrepreneurial portfolio also includes Onedelta Construction Company, a firm engaged in constructing and renovating residential buildings, schools, and hotels across Nigeria, further reflecting his commitment to infrastructure development alongside digital innovation.

A native of Oko-Anala in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State, Abraham Oba continues to expand his impact through business, philanthropy, and community leadership. His contributions have earned several recognitions, including his recent selection among the 100 Iconic Personalities in Africa, an award celebrating individuals making significant contributions to leadership and societal development.

Looking ahead, Oba is preparing another major initiative through the Save the Boy Child Foundation—a street empowerment conference designed to provide mentorship, skills acquisition, and opportunities for vulnerable boys. The program underscores his belief that sustainable national development begins with investing in people, particularly young individuals often overlooked by mainstream interventions.

For Abraham Oba, entrepreneurship is not simply about building successful companies; it is about creating platforms that empower people, strengthen communities, and contribute to Nigeria’s long-term development.
