U-17 Women W/Cup Qualifier: Flamingoes Set For Zambia Match

After eliminating Kenya in the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup qualifier on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, coach of Nigeria’s U-17 women team, Peter Dedevbo, says his next target is to defeat Zambia in the last qualifying match to secure a place in the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup slated for Azerbaijan later in the year.

Having defeated Kenya 2-0 two weeks ago in Nairobi, Nigeria went ahead to humble their opponents 3-0 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in an encounter watched by a scanty crowd.

Speaking after the match, Dedevbo said their next match against Zambia won’t be easy and charged his players to remain focused. He said that his target is to qualify the country for the World Cup.
