Nigeria Premier League: Heartland Battle Rangers

Heartland Football Club of Owerri will have their hands full when they confront their oriental rivals, Rangers Football Club of Enugu in the Nigeria Premier League match slated for Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.

Sunday Akintoye reports that Heartland who defeated Kaduna United 1-0 in their midweek match have vowed to go for another three points when they confront Rangers this weekend.

Chinedu Efugh, captain of the Owerri club said they are ready to take their opponents to the cleaners, boasting that anything short of victory will be a disappointment.

“We cannot afford to lose against Rangers. It is going to be another tough match for us. Our target is to secure the three points at stake from the crucial encounter,” he said.
