Adefulire To Grace Speaker’s Cup

Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Orelope Adefulire, and other invited guests are expected to grace the closing ceremony of Lagos Speaker’s Cup, which holds on Thursday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

The final will be played between Ikorodu West LCDA Football Team and Ajeromi\Ifelodun Local Council Football Team.

The Chairman of the Lagos State House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development, Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, stated that the delay of the final was due to the budget defence carried out by the House in December.

Ayeni noted that the deputy governor will be the Chairperson of the day, while the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, will be the Chief Host.

He said that arrangements have been concluded to stage a colourful closing ceremony, urging fans to come out en masse to watch the final match, which promises to be explosive.

Meanwhile, the third place match, which will be a battle between Apapa Local Council and Ifelodun LCDA, will be played before the final cracker.
