Police Transfer 65 Officers From Lagos
A total of sixty-four senior police officers have been transferred out of the Lagos State Police Command.
The officers include chief superintendent and superintendent of police. The officers mostly DPOs were transferred to Sokoto, Kebbi, Maiduguri, Kaduna, kano, Bauchi and Nasarawa.
Crime Watch gathered from police sources that scores of the Dpos have stayed longer than expected. A senior police officer who craved anonymity said: “Can you imagine a police officer staying for nine years in one police division and the same thing at the area commands. I know of Dpos who have stayed at a divisional police headquarters for four to six years.
“And it is dangerous for them because all the bandits at that area must have been romancing with them and any one who refuses, his or her life is in danger. One of these DPos that was transferred to the trouble Boko Haram zone said: “I am not bothered about transfer but the place I am going is dangerous and besides, I cannot speak hausa fluently and there are no sophisticated weapons to fight these hoodlums.
