Fire Guts Ladipo Market
Fire broke out early this morning at Warehouse B, Ladipo market in Mushin, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
Goods worth millions naira were destroyed.
An eye witness said the fire started at about 11 p.m. after Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, restored electricity supply.
The fire raged until a combined team of men of fire service from Mushin and state intervened and quenched the light.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the fire incident was caused by illegal connection by traders who own shops in the market.
Most of the traders who were victims lamented that they had lost everything to the inferno.
The warehouse management bemoaned the incident and promised that measures would be put in place to prevented such a disaster in future.
