A comprehensive handbook for the Nigerian Auto market, which has been lacking over the years would be hitting the news stand when the magazine is launched in the next three weeks in Lagos.
In what will be a yearly publication, every issue will contain a somewhat balanced content on the auto industry in Nigeria. The book, consists mainly of these sections:
The Corporate Profile-Enlists the profile of the main auto distributing companies in the country, with emphasis on their mission and corporate contacts in terms of physical addresses nation-wide, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses etc.
The Personality Profile- features the brief bio-data of some of the brains behind the auto industry in Nigeria, as well as the profiles of some government officials connected to the auto industry. Agencies connected with road transportation are not left out. Agencies such as the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Federal Roads Maintainance Agency (FERMA), National Automotive Council (NAC)and others are captured in this section. The Nigeria Auto Market Guide also provides readers with relevant information like the comprehensive classified listing of auto companies, tyre companies, insurance companies where genuine auto insurance can be obtained, import statistics, etc.
According to the Managing Editor, Mr Frank Kintum “We are already in talks with the CSS Bookshop and the Hub Media Store to complete our distributing channels for the book. CSS Bookshop is expected to distribute the books in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt while the Hub Media Store is expected to distribute mainly from its Palm Shopping Centre, Lekki, Lagos.”
Reacting to the news of the launch of the auto guide, Mr. Olu Tikolo, Marketing Director, Elizade Motors and Chairman, Auto Sector of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the Nigeria Auto Market Guide is long overdue because the Nigeria auto industry lacks publication of this kind that will help those outside the industry know the serious players in the business.
