Lagos Junior League Champs To Earn N5m

In a bid to add a touch of glamour to the coming season, the board of the Lagos Junior League in its last meeting made a resolution that winners of the Premier League will rake home N5m, while the 1st runner-up and the 2nd runner-up will win N3m and N1m respectively.

Also to share in the prize monies are the winners of League 1 and League 2 which will win N3m and NIm respectively with their 1st and 2nd runners-up winning handsome monetary prizes.

The board also stated in the resolution that the teams which are ready participate in the new season must pay their dues and complete their registration before the next ramadan.

According to the resolution, some clubs have already completed their registrations and commenced their preparations for the new season by scouting for players in various secondary schools in the state.

However, the board through the resolution mandated the participating teams to source for sufficient funds for the payment of their coaches and players’ allowances and other committments.

The board also revealed that it has selected 25 players from the top 200 players discovered in the league ,who will represent the Lagos Junior League in both local and international competitions.

Meanwhile, the board in a bid to improve on the standard of the league, has packaged seminars for referees, match commissioners and medical personnel.
