Rep Tasks Colleagues On People’s Plight

A member of the House of Representatives, Babatunde Adejare, has urged politicians in the country to be sensitive to the plight of the electorate.

Adejare, who represents the Agege Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, stated this while  distributing free application forms for the General Certificate Examination students in his constituency.

The lawmaker will also organise free tutorial classes for students preparing for the examination.

Adejare had earlier this year organised free medical examination and treatment of ailments for members of his constituency.

He explained that his gesture was borne out of his desire to ensure a strong educational background for students before moving into tertiary institutions.

He said it is only with such a foundation that the students would find education as well as knowledge gathering easy.

The gesture, which the lawmaker said would be continuous, was extended to all the 13 wards in his constituency.

It was learnt that since the free distribution of the GCE forms began on Monday, over 500 students have benefitted.

Adejare advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity and make him proud by being successful in the examination.

He also urged parents to allow their wards attend the lectures to prepare them well for the examination, adding that he would be happy to see them successful at one sitting.
