Woods Closes In On Top 3

Tiger Woods remains fourth on the world rankings released yesterday after his third win of the season at the AT&T National, but has closed the gap on top three Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood.

Welshman Jamie Donaldson, meanwhile, moves from 116th to a career-high 63rd after his maiden European Tour victory at the Irish Open.

Woods now has 74 wins on the PGA Tour, moving past Jack Nicklaus into second place, leaving him eight wins away from the record held by Sam Snead.
