Ajegunle, Elegbata Agog For Lagos Street Soccer

Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle and Elegbata Sports Centre, Apongbon, Lagos Island, are among the designated centres that will host matches of the 2012 Lagos Street Soccer, which kicks off tomorrow.

Other centres that will play host to the tournament are Evans Square Sports Centre, Ebute-Metta, Teachers Training College playground, Ifako-Ijaiye, Festac Grammar School, Oshodi Comprehensive High School, Epe Recreational Centre, Gaskiya College and Pako Amoo Sports Centre, Agege.

P.M.Sports gathered that matches will start across the centres as early as 8a.m. on Saturday. At the Agege centre, five streets will trades tackles in the 5-A-side tourney. The teams are Olayiwola and Ashade Streets from Agege, Omisore, Adetola and Akinde Ikanran Streets from Ojokoro.

Organisers said the matches, which will be played every Saturday and Sunday, will be in morning and afternoon sessions.

The teams have been urged to play the game according to the rules.
