Permsec Jonathan arrives Bayelsa for swearing-in

Mrs Patience Jonathan,the Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan,and also Bayelsa state permanent secretary designate, today visited the few surviving victims of the Okogbe Petrol Tanker fire disaster still in special intensive care unit of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital,UPTH,Rivers State.
On arrival at the UPTH, she was received about 3.30pm by Prof.Aaron Ojule,Medical Director of UPTH,who is also the Head of Special Committee set up by the State Government to administer medical care for the victims still lying critically ill in the hospital.
She commiserated with them and asked the state governments in the South-South zone to liaise with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,NNPC,to start enlightenment on the dangers of petroleum products to their lives.
She said that because there is poverty in the region is not an excuse for them to endanger their lives.
She was received at the Airforce base by the Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi and the his wife Judith,who also accompanied her to the Hospital.
She immediately headed for Bayelsa State where she would be sworn in tomorrow as one of the 18 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries into the state Civil Service by Governor Serieka Dickson.
Bayelsans are waiting to know the Ministry or Parastatal she would be assigned to perform her function as a permanent Secretary as required in the Civil service when she takes her oath of office tomorrow.
