NDLEA Arrests Togolese With Ammunition
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a Togolese at Seme border.
The suspect identified as Zakari was arrested by the operatives of Seme Special Area Command. When he was searched, six rounds of live cartridges were found on him and he was handed over to the police at Seme.
Crime Watch gathered that during investigation, he made a confessional statement to the police at Seme border before he was transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigative Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, where he is now being held.
In a related development, anti-robbery police team from Alausa Police Station, Lagos State, on a routine patrol on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, at Ojota, intercepted a Toyota Corolla saloon car with two male occupants. It was learnt that when the vehicle was searched, a toy pistol was recovered from the occupants.
The two suspects were taken to Alausa Police Station and were later transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba for further interrogation.
While confirming the stories, the Lagos State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Ngozi C. Braide, said the two cases are being investigated and that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
The police image maker advised members of the public to be vigilant at all time ad report suspicious movements to the police for prompt action, stressing that prevention is better than cure.
