Ojudu denies bashing ACN over PDP boss
Senator Babafemi Ojudu has said there was never a time that he described as “illogical” or “irrational” the call by his party, the Action Congress of Nigeria, that the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, should resign over the involvement of his son in the fuel subsidy scam.
In a statement by his media aide, Mr. ‘Dimeji Daniels, Senator Ojudu added that at no time did he lambast Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stressing that Alhaji Lai Mohammed is a leader that he holds in high esteem, not just because of his courage and patriotic spirit, but also because of his defence of the truth at all times.
According to the lawmaker, if he has any issue with Alhaji Lai Mohammed, he would rather take it up with him personally rather grant interviews about it.
Ojudu explained that in the said interview, he only said the PDP Chairman should be prosecuted as well if it is discovered that his son was serving as a front for him, and that if otherwise, the son should face the music alone as he is an adult who is capable of making choices for himself, whether good or bad.
Senator Ojudu described the reports that have been making the rounds, especially on online news sites, as a mischievous attempt to set him against his party, ACN and his leader, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
He advised journalists to remain true to their calling by presenting whole truths at all times and not half-truths or twisted facts.
