VP Sambo prays for Nigerian peace in Saudi
Nigeria’s Vice-President Namadi Sambo on Saturday in Madinah joined other Muslims to pray for peace, unity and development of Nigeria.
His Senior Special Assistant on Media, Malam Umar Sani, said that Sambo arrived in Madinah, one of the holy cities in Saudi Arabia in the early hours of Saturday to perform this year’s Umrah (lesser hajj).
“Sambo and his delegation, who prayed alongside thousands of Muslim faithful at the Mosque of Prophet Muhammad in Madinah, prayed for the peace, unity and development of Nigeria.
“He also visited the holy sites of Masjid Quba and Mount Uhud,’’ he said.
Sambo would leave Madinah today for Makkah to perform the Umrah.
