Fast rising hip hop musician, Femi Elegbede’s (Fizikal) musical video dubbed Ochampepe is out and ruling the airwaves across the nation and beyond. The video was directed by a leading video director, Akin Alabi.

While speaking with P.M.NEWSEntertainment, Fizikal, who started music professionally five years ago, revealed that he was born into entertainment because his mother was a popular actress in the 80s. “I was born into entertainment, my mother was a popular actress, while my father also loves music and this made it quite easy for me to take up music as a career after my diploma in LASU,” he said.

The young man, who has worked with Nigeria’s top artistes like X-Project, Konga and Artquake, further informed that he got inspired while in secondary school by listening to Nas, Snoop Dogg, P Diddy and others.

“Before I took music as a career I discovered that I was good in writing songs. I learnt it by writing lyrics of top international music stars. My inspiration for singing came later after my diploma in LASU.”

The Industrial Relations and Personnel Management ND holder, like every other young man that went into music with the usual fair share of challenges, financial difficulties and problem of acceptance, but with dedication, perseverance and hard work, has been able to storm the weather.

“If not for my passion for music and success I would have dumped music. I released my first single in 2007, but for lack of finance I was unable to promote it. I went through a lot of challenges, but I knew it was my trying period which others who are on top today have also passed,” he said.

Fizikal, who has been signed on by Goldspan Entertainment is expected to embark on music tour of South Africa and UAE next month.

“We are touring South Africa and UAE next month, we are expected to touch Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa while in UAE we would go to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sherjah.”
