Man Docked Over Phone Accessories Theft

One Abumike Okoliagu,31, has been arraigned before Ikeja magistrate’s court, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, for stealing phone accessories valued N19million.

Okoliagu is standing trial on a two-count charge, entered a not guilty plea.

The charge against him reads: “That you Abumike Okoliagu, within the Lagos Magisterial District did conspire to commit felony to wit stealing ”

The prosecutor, Samson Ekikere told the court that on 15 September at about 12:30p.m the accused stole the phone accessories, property of Etus World Connection Nigeria Ltd.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened section 285(a) of the criminal law of Lagos State 2011.

Chief Magistrate Taiwo Akanni granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The case has been adjourned to 5 November for mention.
