Folake, Tonia, Others Exit NMS

Inside the Next Movie Star House, a thick cloud of anxiety hangs over the remaining housemates after two bouts of evictions hit them within one week. Four of the prospective actors, Alabi Folake, Tonia Ese Oria-Arebun, Ifovboa Ehijemen Jude and Esigbone Ejiro Kingsley, were evicted from the show in one fell swoop.

Stating the reasons for the eviction, the Associate Producer, Uche Sam-Anyamele said, “At this point, the housemates are aware that not all of them can make it to the finals; evictions have to happen and nobody is immune to it. More so, the fate of each housemate is in the hands of the teeming viewers of the show, not the organisers.”

Speaking after the eviction, Ejiro, a 500 level student of University of Benin, said, “I didn’t expect my journey here (NMS) to end so soon, but I must confess that I have gained a lot in the past few weeks; from the training and grooming of being in the House proper, it has been a worthwhile experience.”

Hardly had the remaining housemates come to terms with this sudden turn of events than another eviction hit them. This time, Chimezie Okeke and Million Santong, were the unlucky duo. They were equally evicted after recording low votes. Interestingly, voluptuous Million, especially, had become a viewers’ favourite with her matronly outlook and disposition; her exit, being one of the most painful for the housemates. But, like Chigbufue Bridget said, “It is all a game. Some people will lose and some will win, everybody cannot win the NMS.”
