D’Banj Most Stylish Artiste

Nigeria’s brightest stars were recently celebrated at a night of music and style in what has become the most highly rated lifestyle awards in the country, FAB Awards.

The event, the third in the series, was hosted by comedian Basketmouth and Beat FM OAP Toolz and it was held at the Landmark Village, Victoria Island, Lagos. The crème of the society thronged the venue to support their favourite artistes. The biggest winner of the night was pop star, D’Banj who emerged the Most Stylish Male Artiste of the year.

On the same night, Rita Dominic and Joseph Benjamin emerged Most Stylish Actress and Actor of the year.

Familusi Akin-Babajide, the organiser of the yearly FAB awards, told Showbiz Trends that the winners emerged after a closely monitored voting process facilitated by both the voting public and judges. He expressed gratitude for the level of support and appreciation shown by fans. He described FAB Awards as a dream borne out of a desire to recognize and appreciate outstanding Nigerian stars who are doing great things in the entertainment industry.

“It has been an amazing three years so far and we owe so much to our supporters and sponsors who have encouraged us every step of the way and stood by us right up to this point in time,” Babajide said.

D’Banj, who recently won the Channel O Award noted that the organizers of the awards have done much to raise the standard of fashion, music and entertainment in the country.

“Every year, FAB Awards seeks a way to celebrate the Nigerian artiste. It’s always an inspiring time and I’m very glad to be part of it,” D’Banj said after receiving his award.

Performers who thrilled the audience include Sage, Mo’Eazy, Eldee, Sojay K9, Ajebutter Seyi Shay and Aramide, Zaina amongst others.

Others winners at the event include Bunmi Ademokoya (Female Model of the Year) Francis Nwodu (Male Model of the Year) The BeatFM (Radio Station of the Year) Steve Onu,  (OAP of the Year) and Mo’Cheddah (Most Stylish Female Artiste of the Year).
