Movie Stars Return For ‘The Valley Between’

Some of the country’s biggest actors have returned to location for the shoot of The Valley Between, a television series produced by Tunji Bamishigbin’s Rockview Productions.

Among those involved in the production, which has been showing on AIT Network, are Bukky Ajayi, Dejumo Lewis, Taiwo Obileye, Lilian Amah, Sunny Irabor and fashion guru, Funmi Ajila-Ladipo.

The soap is being shot in different locations like Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu Igbo and Lagos. The producer, Bamishigbin, told Entertainment Cafe that The Valley Between is not just created to educate and entertain its audience, it is also to provide a platform for the discovery of new talents and the nurturing of such to stardom.

The new episodes of the production, he added, will parade stars like Dan Imodu, Kate Adepegba, Lanre Arogundade and Toyin Adewale.

Veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi said: “The Valley Between is a soap and we don’t have much of it in Nigeria for now. What we have is a lot of movies–as they call it. If you sit at home to watch The Valley Between, you will know that you are watching something. I’m not praising this production because of Tunji Bamishigbin, but the truth is that it is a good one.”

Lilian Amah, Vice President of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP, also gushed about the quality of the production. “I have been a follower of Bamishigbin’s work over the years, so I was extremely happy when he invited me. Tunji has made most of the people we regard as stars today. They have all worked in his production at one time or the other. One thing I like is the strength of his stories. His stories are always exciting; they make you want to watch more. When Palace was on air, you would not want to miss an episode and I find the same thing in The Valley Between,” she said.

Taiwo Obileye described The Valley Between as a production that is going nicely and being handled professionally. “I have worked with the producer/director on different productions. The cast and crew of are easy to work with. Everybody is treated fairly and we all try to do our jobs well. I also realise that the equipment they are using will raise the bar; their grades are higher than the ones we used while doing the first set of shootings some years back. It is an enjoyable and satisfying environment we are working with,” he crowed.
