Nigerian army promotes 113 officers

The Nigerian Army Council has approved the promotion of 22 Brigadier-Generals to the rank of Major-General.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja and signed by Brig.-Gen. Bola Koleoso, the Director of Army Public Relations, 37 Colonels were also promoted to the rank of Brigadier-General, while 91 Lieutenent-Colonels were elevated to the rank of Colonel.

Those promoted to the rank of Major General are N.O. Ojiji, H.A. Salihu, S.Z. Uba, E.T. Nienge, David Enetie and Mashudy Adekanye.

Others are John Nwaoga, Patrick G. Ogah, Bola Koleoso, Director Army Public Relations; Donald Oji, Tanko Gaiya, Bamidele Ologundudu and Abbas Adekanye.

Also promoted to the rank of Major General are Tamunomieibi Dibi, Tukur Buratai, Obi Umahi, Chuckwudi Odunukwe, Sulaiman Aliyu, Junaid Bindawa, Obidah Ethan, Obasina Ogunbiyi, Friday Airende.
