Police promote 1,944 junior officers

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Abubabar, has approved the promotion of 1,944 junior police officers to their next rank, as new year gifts.

The statement said the elevation was in line with the ongoing reforms in the police and that all the beneficiaries had passed promotion examinations held at the four police colleges spread across the country.

“The beneficiaries of the new promotion are spread across all police Commands and formations within the country, including the Force Headquarters, Abuja,’’ it said.
